A plan to give out millions of free condoms during carnival has been slammed by the Catholic church, citing abstinence and sex before marriage as the better option. 35 million condoms will be given out specifically in Rio, with the national slogan being "With condoms, the good feeling goes on after the party is over." Brazil is famous for its approach to safe sex with a view to reducing AIDS within the country.
